Happy Friday Eve!! I'm so looking forward to some girl time this weekend! My other half is working some, so instead of studying I'll be poolside. Naturally.
Onto something delicious. I have a few recipes I hope to try this weekend, but not sure if I'll get lazy. It seems like it's been weeks since I've had a relaxing weekend. So, here is something I am totally motivated to make. I've made these twice, and they are so moist and full of flavor! Credit
ingredients.
- 1 granny smith apple
- 1 8 oz can of crescent rolls
- 1/3 stick of Butter
- 1/4 c of Sugar
- 1 tsp Vanilla
- Cinnamon, To Taste
- 1/2 cup of hansen's lime soda. or mountain dew.
I
Peel and core your apples -- cutting each into 8 slices.
II
Roll each apple slice in a crescent roll. Place in a 9 x 13 buttered pan or a deep dish pie pan like shown
III
Melt butter, then add sugar and barely stir.
IV
Add vanilla, stir, and pour entire mixture over apples.
V
Pour mountain dew around the edges of the pan. {Not too much so that they are swimming.} Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes.
Anyone else doing anything fun this weekend?
Any chance that I could use something other than Mountain Dew? Would Gingerale work?
ReplyDeleteI believe that will work! The point of the mt dew is probably just the carbonation and extra sugar. Makes them really moist. If you try it, let me know? I'll also try it next time too.
